Translation help for this Norwegian Marriage Record
This is my first attempt to ask for translation help. I believe this is the marriage record for Gilbert O Hammer pid L4W1-96B and Marie Hovland pid L4w-1SR2. Gilbert O Hammer came to the US in the 1880's and was still single and farming in North Dakota in 1900. It seems he made a trip back to Norway in 1904 to get married.
1.can you translate this church marriage record for 23 july 1904?
- Can you help me understand how the wife's name became Marie Hovland vs the name on the record ie Marie Gunderssen Lillegoviaers?
- Are you able to identify the complete birth locality for Gilbert and Marie, ie Garliansar and Lillehaland respectively? I don't know what localities these refer to. I am hoping to figure out the town, county, etc from these names.
- I have not done research in Norway and am trying to help another member whose grandfather is this Gilbert O Hammer. This is the end of line ancestor in Family Search and we hope this helps him make a connection from his United States relatives back to the ancestor's line in Norway.

Please Note: I reposted this request in the Nordic Countries Group, so don't answer this here. (I'm new and did not understand how groups work.) I would delete this discussion here, but haven't figured out if this can be done.

@Dennis Campnell - You can get helpful answers in both locations from different people. When someone answers here, you'll see a red icon appear over the bell in the upper right corner of the page.
Unfortunately, you won't receive the same type of notification for any replies in the Nordic Countries Group. :( The platform isn't set up to work that way, although we are hoping that will change at some point.
