What are the Surnames?

Sierra Leone Batch [M36Z-1SQ] Entry #2. The Daughters and Fathers are reversed. I just put them in the Given name area. There is a 2 in the Gender name but what does that mean.

My guess is that the 2 goes with the boxed surname - not the sex (both surname boxed and numbered).

There is a 2 in the Gender name but what does that mean.? It could mean the register was indicating the order of the surnames.

In this case we type what we see. If you cannot determine if a name is a given name or a surname, type it in the Given Names field.

It could be the child: given name>Margaret; surnames> Kpuagou Kpougou , and the father: given name> Boima- surnames>Kpuagou Kpougou

We also use our best judgement.

I missed (1) In the child area. I assume just enter them in the order that they are written. In the Surname areas.
