have a question on Brazilian death records. https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/b827927b-f6a0-485d-9151-df9809e8c033
Brasil, Parana, registro civil, 1852-1996 [Parte C] [MS35-CQS] Third image Ist entry. Some of the I would mark "blank" have "Nao Tem] or [Nao foi declarado]. What should be used ? H Have even seen "Em Branco" used. Of these 4 choices what should I use?
Second question: When only one last name is given, should it be entered in the space for "First last name" or "Last last name?"

@Melissa S Himes, would you be able to answer this question? Thank you.

I can "sort of" provide an answer, but, I don't understand Portuguese.
I do know from looking at the 3rd image, that one would not enter the words "Não Foi DeClarado" (Not Declared) or Nāo Tem (It does not have) or Em Branco (In Blank) in the fields. If the information is not on the image, the indexer or reviewer would enter Ctrl + B which renders the field <blank>, like every other indexing project.
Field Help: If given names were not recorded or were written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank.
If only one last name is given, I think it would entered in the first last name field. The example shows that most of the folks don't have a second surname. But, again, I am not confident since I have never studied their naming patterns.

Since the records are originally in Portuguese - I would recommend you change the Project Instruction language to Portuguese/Project Language - and compare <BLANK> to the Portuguese/Project Language equivalent from those instructions.
You can change that at:
Batch (menu at upper left)> Settings> Language> Field Help and Project Instructions
This should change the Project Instruction to the Project Language and you will need to compare the English version with the foreign language version - unless you are proficient with the language.
I don't think this setting will change the default <BLANK> - 4th icon from left toolbar button or Ctrl + B keyboard shortcut for the Field you are marking - but it's worth a shot. I do not know if FamilySearch defaults to the language set in your FamilySearch settings for Indexing - but if that were the case then I would expect the records to be indexed once in each language - for translation purposes. Only a FamilySearch indexing representative can respond to indicate what is the case ... I would almost assume if your settings default is English language - then FamilySearch would translate the record to the original language if being viewed from another account.
In Search Preferences you can select:
Language Options
Translated Text
OR
Original Text
So I would expect <BLANK> to show up as whatever the default in the Portuguese Project Instructions indicate if Original Text were selected OR there would be no result for that field when searching for the record (so yes I don't know if it matters either).

I answered this question on February 18th. If you click on your name @Gene Barry_1, it will allow you to see all your discussions.
I will copy and paste a portion of the 18. Feb. answer to this one:

To pull up the field helps, click on the purple question mark that appears when you click on a field.
To open the project instructions at any time, click on the last icon in the toolbar.
