Sierra Leone—Birth and Death Registrations, 1858–2016
I have read through the instructions for this project. It states: If a line was left blank, skip to the next line that has information. Do not mark an entry blank in the data entry area to correspond with the blank line on the document.
Prior to those instructions it tells me to mark blank if info isn't available.
In the examples it tells me to mark fields blank that are blank on the doc.
So I just need to confirm if I should be marking fields blank if the info is not available. I do not see any other way to complete indexing the document if I am unable to mark fields blank that have no info recorded. Thanks!

That instruction means that if a line is left blank, you don't need to create a blank record to account for it. So, if there were 20 lines on a page and 5 of them were skipped, you would only create 15 records with information.
You mark the fields blank whenever there is no information to index. So, if there is a birth date and no registration date, you index the birth date and mark the registration date fields blank.
The reason that there is substantial amounts of time between some births and registrations is because they are "delayed birth records". For instance, my grandmother was born in 1895, but, we didn't register her birth until 1976 when there became a need to do so.
Does that help?

It does make sense. Thank you. I had figured it out. I had to re-read several times :). There is no way for me to delete my question. So I'll be sure to take my time making sure I can't find the answer before asking my questions in the future.
