New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1937
As a follow-on to my comment in this thread, @N Tychonievich. https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/comment/428874#Comment_428874
The recordset for New York City Marriages also has an error in the date in the title. I know how frustrating it can be to search in vain for a record that should be in a set based on the title. The title is "New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940" while the last record in the set is from 1937. The collection is https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2143225
Thank you again!

@Áine Ní Donnghaile I just searched New York, New York City Marriage Records, 1829-1940 with a place of New York and date of 1940 (using a public account, in case someone assumes a Church member gets wider access).
I did in fact get back results of marriages in 1940: https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?f.collectionId=2143225&q.anyDate.from=1940&q.anyPlace=New%20York
Not many, but there do seem to be some in the collection as late as 1940.

@N Tychonievich for some reason I was not notified when you responded. My apologies for the delay in following up.
Those records are NOT after 1937 but are indexing errors. When I went through the process, back in the days of the case system, of trying to have the title of this record set corrected, I supplied copies of all the records that are supposedly from after 1937, by downloading all of them from digitized microfilm. These records are newly available from NYCRecords and easier to access now.
For the record, the NYC Health Department marriage records end at 1937. Those are the only records filmed in the series under discussion. Edit: to clarify - After 1937, there was no longer a requirement to register the marriage with the Health Department. That's why the database ends at 1937.
In order from your link:

Certificate 340 for John J Vaughan and Lillian E Gauss, 14 June 1917 https://a860-historicalvitalrecords.nyc.gov/view/3025302
I sincerely hope that you will reconsider my request for a correction to the title of this record set. Researchers who look for 1938-1940 marriages will be frustrated or confused, when it's just 2 digits in the title that need to be edited.
Thank you.
