Searching Images by Reel and File #
Hello, I am trying to locate images that have been digitized from NC Archives. I have the NC reel number and file # (NC microfilm reel S.108.651 - Cumberland County File No. 187) but I cannot figure out how to translate that to familysearch files numbers.
Can someone lead me in the right direction to learn how to do this?
Thank you!

@Valarie Golmon Davies It would be helpful to know the topic and timeframe of the records you seek. If the digitized film is also held by FamilySearch, searching by keyword and place in the FS catalog is pretty straightforward.
It's also possible that FS does not hold the film.

Even if FamilySearch has the records you seek, it is most unlikely the NC Archives microfilm number would appear in the FS catalog entry. You would need a description of the content of the records, then search in the FamilySearch catalog for some of the keywords. The FS Catalog Search is https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog
Here is a FS Catalog record for Alien registration (Cumberland County, North Carolina), 1927-1942 https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/646271 The FS description says "Microfilm of original records in the North Carolina State Archives in Raleigh, North Carolina" but there are no further details about the State Archives record classification.
