When Indexing the Boston Tax records, I find some people's names have 'Heirs" or "Devisees" after their Given name. Should the words "Heirs" or "Devisees" be transcribed or just the person's Given name?

    Hi @KathleenSheehan1

Just index the person's Given Names.

If you click on the Field Help purple question mark that appears when you click on the Given Names field, you'll see this paragraph below, among other instructions. "Heirs," "Devisees," and other such descriptors are "terms" and so shouldn't be indexed.

"Do not include titles, terms, or suffixes with the name. Index prefixes in the Prefix field."
