When indexing, could we have a function that would autopopulate the <blank> answer for those items for which there is no information? For example, on the Land Grant records for NY State, there often are no prefixes in the record. It would be less wear on my old fingers (and my keyboard) if I didn't have to "Control B" a lot (or "Control D") to fill that portion. This would be similar to the reviewing box to click to verify we have reviewed all the entries in that column, etc. It would save time, too. This would have been VERY helpful when there were the city directories to index, when the batch held 250+ records and my computer would bog down to a speed of one "Control B" per second...or slower. Thanks for considering this.

There is icon/keyboard shortcut for this. The toolbar icon second to right of trashcan (or keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + D) will copy the current field to the remaining same fields.
