Stamped dates on muster rolls
The batch for Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls I'm working on has no date on top. I've looked forward and backward for some hint of what I should use. All I've found is a stamped date of Aug 9 1919 on the previous image. The images after have a stamped date of Aug 20 1919 and a typed date of July 11 1919. Not sure which batch this image is attached to. Are stamped dates acceptable when nothing else is there?

in the case that this is a page 2, 3 etc for a single roll, you would be able to use the date at the beginning of the list, usually found in the Previous images. Never use a date from the images after. If there is no date at all or if the previous images dont belong to the one youre doing right now, you would just leave the date fields <BLANK>
I looked at your batch and i cant see any of the reference images so i dont know exactly if the actual date for this image is at the head of the list on a previous page.

- J just completed a similar batch. AS there were. no other dates available I used the stamped date as it did apply to the image I was working on and it fits the category: Any other applicable military date
hope this is helpful
