How do we index fragments of documents that haven't got either the beginning or the end in batch?
How do we index if within a batch we have just the ending or just the beginning of a document in an image and not the rest of the document in the images in a batch (and we do not have access to the rest of the document). If it was the beginning of the document, I indexed the little information available. If it was the ending, I did not know how to connect it (to what family) and I did not index it. How can we work out the problem so as not to waste/lose lots of information?

If you have a specific batch with this issue that you can “share,” you will get the best answer. With the batch open go to Help>Share Batch to learn how to share your batch. We can then look at your batch and its instructions in case they have specific guidance on your situation.
Meanwhile, the last section of your instructions usually gives general guidance (General Indexing Guidelines - the GIG) on a situation that sounds like yours - records that span multiple images. Here is a link to that section of the GIG from one of my batches.
As an Indexer you do have access to (usually) the 5 images before and after your batch image. They are called the “reference images.” The last (4th) vertical icon that looks like an open book allows you to see or hide them. In special cases (maybe like yours) you can refer to them and index from them to complete a record that spans two images.
Here is the link I mentioned that gives you more details.

The problem is that we may waste/lose lots of information because we do not know what parents to connect a born child to, for instance.

In sum, if your batch starts with a record that was already started on the previous page, you will skip it. Begin with the first full record on your page.
If your batch ends with an entry, you will need to index it. if the document is in another batch, you can still see it with the following icon:

I'm a bit confused. You seem to have answered your own question, and know what to do. Please let me know if I can be of any help.
Thanks.
