More specific Research Help items
There are 2 types of the Research Help for “Possible Missing Child”: The last child was born 3 or more years before the mother turned 40.” and “There is a gap of 3 or more years between the birth of one child and the next sibling.”
This distinction should be in the Research Help title. This could help researchers save time. It could make the distinction a more accessible. It would prevent people, including me, thinking there is no distinction.

@Douglas McPhaden - Would you be able to give more information about where you are seeing, or rather not seeing, this information, please?

It's 'Brett'.
Just in passing ...
In fact ...
Please be, advised; and, aware ...
There are actually THREE (x3) types, of "Research Help(s)", for a “Possible Missing Child” ...
[ NOT just two (x2); as, 'Douglas' originally suggested ... ]
FYI
Here is a "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
What are all the possible research suggestions in Family Tree?
Where, it states, among other things:
Quote
------------------
Research suggestion
Possible Missing Child
When it appears
This research suggestion appears when one or more of these situations occurs:
▬ The birth year of the first child is 3 or more years after the marriage year.
▬ The last child was born 3 or more years before the mother turned 40.
▬ A gap of 3 or more years exists between the birth of one child and the next sibling.
Can be dismissed
Yes
------------------
Unfortunately ...
In regard to "When it appears" ...
One; and/or, even, Two; and/or, even, ALL Three, of those situations, CAN apply, in certain circumstances.
And, what make matters worse ...
Is that, each "Situation", CAN be listed; as, a SEPARATE, "Research Help", for an individual/person.
Which, to the uninitiated, simply appears; as, "Duplication"; and/or, sometimes, "Triplication" ...
Depending upon, the circumstances, for an individual/person (and/or, couple).
EXAMPLE
Where, two (x2) of those, three (x3) situations, occur; and, have been applied ...
Now ...
That Said ...
I understand what 'Douglas' is imply (and, requesting) ...
But ...
That Said ...
It is, quite EASY enough, to ascertain, the "Distinction", between the "Research Help(s)", by SIMPLY selecting the individual "Research Help(s)"; as, in this case the two (x2) "Possible Missing Child".
EXAMPLE
First one ...
Second one ...
As such ...
That Said ...
I would humbly suggest, that 'FamilySearch', has "Designed", the appearance, of "Research Help" like this; so as, to "Save" on "Real Estate", on the "Person/Details" page/screen.
With ...
The "Expectation" being ...
That Users/Patrons, WOULD, take the time, in each and every case, by selecting the individual "Possible Missing Child" instances, to actually, ascertain; WHICH, actually applies, in each case.
Unfortunately ...
Users/Patrons, are either, inexperienced, and do not understanding, that there is (or, can be) a distinction; and/or, just plain 'lazy', and not bothering, to "Check-out", WHY, there is, TWO; or, even, THREE, instances of the SAME situation.
As a "Programmer" once said to me ...
[ And, NOT, from 'FamilySearch' ...]
You CANNOT, make a "System", FOOLPROOF; as, FOOLS are so INGENIOUS ...
[ That is every so true ... ]
To be honest ...
Personally, I do not believe, that there needs to be a "Distinction" ...
As, it is so simple, to ascertain (and, 'see') the "Distinction" ...
[ But, that said ... that is coming from one, with some "Experience" ... ]
Whereas ...
Providing, that there is ENOUGH "Real Estate", on the "Person/Details" page/screen ...
I would humbly suggest, that 'FamilySearch', MAY wish to consider, a minor "Change", in appearance ...
EXAMPLE ...
------------------
Research Help
Possible Missing Child ( Scenario 1 )
Possible Missing Child ( Scenario 2 )
Possible Missing Child ( Scenario 3 )
------------------
That is it ... just that, in the parenthesis, ( Scenario 1 ); ( Scenario 1 ); ( Scenario 1 ), after "Possible Missing Child"
Where, if the User/Patron, wishes to "Check-Out" (ie. investigate), the various "Scenarios"; then, they simply select each instance in turn.
Thereby ...
Making it QUITE "Clear" ...
That there are DIFFERENT "Scenarios", that CAN apply; &, that they ARE, separate; &, distinct, from each other.
Hey ...
As usual, that is just me ...
But ...
That Said ...
I would humbly suggest, that what I have just proffered ...
Would fit, with the suggested enhancement, by 'Douglas'.
Just my thoughts.
Brett
