Confirming an email
I need to join a group in order to be able to index projects, but when I click 'Join', it tells me I need to confirm my address. It does not tell me how to confirm my address, and I do not receive an email asking me to do so. So, how do I confirm my email address?

Take a look at your account settings and see if your email address is included in your account.

Do you mean under my profile? My email address is there.

I found the settings page on the FS homepage, and yes, my email address is there.

What kind of group are you trying to join? Does it have a name? Did you get an email from them?

I don't know if there is another avenue to do the following, but here is a possible way to find a leader in the group you are trying to join. You can then private-message that person and find out what to do next.
(1) Go to the bottom of your Web Indexing Page and click on Find Groups and then Find Groups
(2) Search for the group by name.
(3) Check out the group description. Part of the description should include the name of a leader. Private message to learn what to do next.
