Ancestry Institution link from Person Details broke
The "Ancestry Institution" link from the Person Details page (that only shows up in a valid FHC or Library) is broke. Here is the link I am talking about
Notice (at the Taylorsville Utah FHC), we have the Chrome extension premium content enabled (green).
But when we click that link (on at least two of our 20 Windows10 PC's) it takes 3-5 seconds before this new tab shows up:
Which shows that some institution validation has failed. But it turns out this only happens if I or someone else was inadvertently already logged into Ancestry. 😅
However, if I then log out of my personal Ancestry account and try it again, it doesn't pass over the search parameters for the person I was on in FamilySearch. I have to enter search parameters from scratch. 😥
Is this how it is supposed to work? Or has someone in Engineering checked with Ancestry to see if someone is working on it? THANK YOU!

There's an on-going discussion and a workaround in this thread: https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/113543/accessing-ancestry-institution-myheritage-institution-from-family-tree-person-page-link#latest

Here is the screenshot of what Ancestry Institution currently gives us after clicking it from the person details page, on the 2nd try (even if the 1st try was without any prior user already signed into Ancestry).
It is a known new problem (or new permanent change) that Ancestry ignores all search parameters passed over from FamilySearch's software interface to Ancestry. Currently Ancestry wants us to enter all search parameters from scratch. FamilySearch is apparently not sure whether Ancestry is going to fix this, but is assuming they aren't anytime soon. So in the meantime, the Ancestry Institution link from the person details page is no more helpful than the FHC Portal access to Ancestry Institutional version. Note that members of the Church can still get their own free Ancestry account (through FamilySearch.org/PartnerAccess), so this issue is only an issue for non-members (or those members unable to work out their Ancestry access issues).
