I need to merge or eliminate a second live "family" attached to me.

In my live family, my husband and children have the correct numbers and are attached correctly; however, my husband is listed with the children as a second family with no spouse. The numbers are the same as the first family. If I delete the second family members, I think I will delete the first one because they are the same numbers. They can't be merged because the numbers are the same. Please help me with this problem.

    Dana

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    Basically ...

For the "Family' dynamic; where, the Spouse, DOES NOT, have a Partner; and, the Children are Listed ...

For, EACH, of the "Children" ...

Go, to the "Parent-Child Relationship" ...

"Remove", the Child, from that "Parent-Child" Relationship ...

    Pictorially ...

    image.png

A "Pop-Up" (ie. "Modal" 'Window'), "Remove or Replace [ particular, Patent ]", will appear ...

'Check'/'Tick': I have reviewed the relationships, sources, and notes for these individuals

    Then, select "Remove Person".

A NEW "Pop-Up" (ie. "Modal" 'Window'), "Remove Person", will appear ...

ADD, a "Reason" ( ie. "Reason For My Change" ).

    Then, select, "Remove"

    Done.

Once, you "Removed", ALL the Children ...

That "Parent-Child" Relationship, WILL disappear ...

    All done.

I hope, that this helps/assists, somewhat.

I have done this and I am not sure how but I suspect it was one of the sources I attached incorrectly. When you say " If I delete the second family members, I think I will delete the first one because they are the same numbers", I can add I've been there and felt that. No, removing one relationship does not remove the other, so take the plunge and fix it. You are in good company.
