Family Search does have a way of calculating a relationship, however, PAF provided more information at your fingertip, and is very user-friendly.

Was My Ancestor There?

How often do we pour over information regarding a country, personal event, or happening here in America, or in another country, and wonder if our ancestors may have been involved? Such as the Mayflower, the American Revolution, Civil War, or other historical events found here or elsewhere. Even events that are found in the scriptures would be fun, such as finding who may have seen the Star of Bethlehem? How about American Indian names that may have been changed by the government? Or how about asking for a list of names through a title, such as "King", or even "Harem"? Something like this could open up a world of endless information and possibilities that would not only stimulate the new genealogist, but the seasoned one as well to search even further.
