Also I cannot find the Basic Instructions for Indexing. It used to be in several places but I no longer see it.

    @Sarah H Fingerlos

    Here is a link to the current guidance on this:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-index-the-names-of-catholic-nuns-and-fathers

    The Basic Indexing Guide (BIG) doesn't exist anymore. The General Indexing Guide (GIG) has replaced it and is usually the last section of the Project Instructions. But the GIG t doesn't contain that clerical guidance. I don't know if the final section of the Wisconsin Death Records instructions is titled the "General Indexing Guidelines," or still called "Additional Information."

    Thank you for your help. I guess I just didn't scroll down far enough to reach the GIG. Have a pleasant daly.

    Hi Sarah. You scrolled down far enough. This kind of information is no longer included in the GIG. You have to go to the Help Center (click on the question mark in the top right hand corner and you will find it). Then you kind of have to organize your questions the way it "thinks" - JMO, but, it is easier to ask questions here! Happy Indexing!

    Thank you, Melissa, for your additional information. Getting back into indexing, it is comforting to hear from those individuals who were with me from the beginning. Life is full of tender moments.
