Some of the census info. now default to say that this record is not available. It indicates that it is only possible through another means, where before one could just link all people say from the 1871 census without problems, or a default page arrives saying the page can not be obtained.

This seems to have occurred within the last two weeks.

As advised in other threads, this is a contractual issue. However, I am only seeing the message illustrated below for the first time, today.

Please see further comments on this matter at https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/comment/424812#Comment_424812.

I still feel this is probably a contractual issue, but one involving Find My Past, who has possibly completely withdrawn FamilySearch's rights to publish its indexed information on the 1871 census.

As FamilySearch rarely comments on such matters, we can only speculate. Hopefully, I am wrong and this is a temporary issue, involving an updating exercise of the system whereby Find My Past regularly passes updated versions of its E&W census collections to FamilySearch. Only time will tell!
