my reservations list suggestion
Hello,
If I go to the Temple tab, then to the My Reservations list, I can see all the names and ordinances I have reserved in a very long list. It can be tricky to figure out who is related to whom and in what families. I have to use the Tree or RootsMagic or something to see the families. And I would have to manually print people out one per page to gather the family and print the ordinance cards.
It Would Be Great if there were a feature that organized ordinances needed for one family group: parents and children. A filter that lets me look only at the people in one family.
For example, I could choose a parent (by Id or name) and then choose which spouse of that person --and then it would list the husband, wife, and all children (that I have ordinances reserved for). It would show all the ordinances needed for each member of the family. I could click check boxes to choose what ordinance cards to print.
It would also be great if it showed which ordinances have been done for each person. The visual would be:
top line--father's name with all the ordinance boxes, with the shading for done or in progress
next line--mother's name and ordinance boxes w/ coloring coding of status, then same for each child. There could be a checkbox next to each ordinance as a way to choose which you want to print.
That would be quite a help -- thank you in advance for considering it!

There actually is a way to see ordinances by looking at an entire family group (if I am understanding your need correctly)
The family tree DESCENDANCY View has an option to show "Temple Ordinances"
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/descendancy
(after clicking link above) click on generation number 4 (left hand side of screen)
and select options "temple ordinances" (right hand side of screen)
note the way it is currently coded you will not see icons for ordinances complete but only the opposite - - only ordinances pending.

PLEASE: Help us see the families that in the temple reservation lists so that we can work on specific families. For example, seal multiple children from the same family. The descendency view is great for seeing NEEDS temple work. But we need a way to enter an ID number on the reservation list (say a 2nd gt grandmother) and have the temple names lists FILTER for immediate relations (parents, spouse, children, siblings).

If anyone who reads this agrees that a FILTER for relationship on the temple names lists would be helpful, please VOTE it up! Thanks!

i understand what you are asking for - and it makes sense
i have always looked at the list with the filters "last name" and "ascending order" - then i have another window open with the first "McDaniel" pulled up to see who in the list is his child - it has worked well for me since i am continually checking each name before taking it to the temple (i have multiple cards printed) to see if there has been a merge and/or if it has been completed elsewhere - long story why, but it is a system that has worked well for me
HOWEVER . . . . . it would be even simpler to have the relationship filter as a feature
i would also request that if this feature is added, that it just be added as an additional filter, and the format of the rest of the ordinance page/process be left as is - for those of us who want to do work for our ancestors . . . and have a strong testimony of the need to do this for them . . . but technology is a general struggle to understand, we feel like giving up every time the website is disrupted - it might be cool to have new stuff all the time, but please just add it to the existing interface, and keep it as simple as possible for the rest of us
