Donated books in Family History Centers
People have donated some family history books to Family History Centers that aren't available through FamilySearch or anywhere else. Could the FamilySearch catalog add that book to their list and show which Family History Centers have a copy? People might be willing to drive some distance to have access to books they have been searching for and which are not available online. Volunteers at the Family History Centers would be willing to type in the names of books and other information that FamilySearch would need.

Hello Wanda,
An option would be to donate a book to the Family History Library which could then be digitised and made available to all. I suppose it would depend on the subject matter and whether similar information is already available elsewhere.
Here is an article about how to do this and what materials the FHL will accept.

Our Family History Center has already donated a number of books to the Family History Library and has followed the guidelines for donating those books. I'm asking about books that cannot be donated to the Family History Library because the author or donor does not want the books to leave our FHC or because we don't know how to contact the author of books that are under copyright protection.

I am not connected with Family Search.
I am not clear about how FamilySearch Centres are structured, but perhaps they are considered part of the FamilyHistory Library, even if indirectly.
I would suggest contacting the Family History Library directly. The email address for the Library is in the following link https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-are-the-family-history-library-hours
