How to search records by occupation

Is there a way to search for an individual using an occupation as a keyword? I don't see any way to do this.

I'm also finding the current search template on FamilySearch very limiting and more time consuming to use than it used to be. Not only does it require an extra step to access more search fields, but there is no way to include all the information I may have for an individual to focus the results, such as different places of residence over time.

If occupation field is listed in results you can use the browser 'find in page' function to search for what you would like to find. But yes I don't think most FamilySearch indexes would include occupation column as searchable.

As genthusiast said: given that occupation is basically never included in indexes, you can't search by it. (This is quite apart from the new-and-disimproved search interface.)

Or are you asking about using Find, looking for profiles that have an occupation entered? I don't think this is currently possible, but perhaps you should suggest it under Suggest an Idea.
