I have attached almost 1,000 photos, docs, histories on Memories. How can I add more?
Apparently I am maxed out on how many photos, docs, histories, etc I can upload under my own name. I have had to delete items in order to add newer one. I have the same problem with my wife's page. How do I request more data storage under memories?

Listed below is the FamilySearch limit anyone person can reach on one account held on FamilySearch.
My only suggestion is that you open another Familysearch Account so you can add these extra memories,

Please, be aware; and, advise, that ...
As, a User/Patron, one DOES NOT, have a LIMIT, to the number of items, that one can "Upload", to Memories.
Here is a "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
How many memories (photos, stories, documents, and audio files) can I upload?
Where, it states, among other things:

That the ONLY "Limit", in "Memories", is the "Limit", that applies, to an individual/person, in the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.

In regard, to what was suggested, in the previous 'Comment', by a "Moderator" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) ] ...
There is, NO need; NOR, any point, in creating, another 'FamilySearch' Account, for yourself; as, you DO NOT have a LIMIT, on the number of "Memories", that you can "Upload".
As, the LIMIT, applies to the individuals/persons, in the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.
[ And, NOT, the Users/Patrons ... ]
I know, that this certainly may not help/assist, in regard to any individual/person; but, I hope, that this may help/assist, in regards to yourself.

the gallery is where ALL your uploads are stored (no matter what person record they are linked to)
You do NOT need to necessarily LINK all 1000 photos you referred to - to your OWN record (unless they truly are photos that pertain mainly to you)
ALL of your memories items will be accessible after you die (as they are now).
But can only be easily found if you a) link them to a deceased person or b) have a title and description in place and people use a keyword search that includes key words from your title and description.
The Question really is - - do all 1,000 items REALLY need to be linked to your person record.
If, for example, it was a photo of your parents, then it should be linked to your parent . . . etc.
The GALLERY is simply the place where ALL your uploads are stored - no matter who you linked them to.
YES - the Gallery can be VERY helpful in your viewing all your uploaded items and even organizing them into folders (ALBUMS) so there is some organization rather than just 3000 photos all mixed together

Here are instructions on uploading items to FamilySearch
You can do it one of two ways
1) Upload it directly to the person it pertains to (for example if it is a picture of your parents - you woudl go to your parents profile page and THEN upload it from there)
2) Upload it to the GALLERY directly
this link has two sets of instructions
these are the steps for the GALLERY UPLOAD
- Sign in to FamilySearch.org.
- In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Memories.
- In the drop-down menu, click Gallery.
- Click the plus sign (+) in the green circle.
- Drag and drop content from your computer to the screen, or click Choose Files.
- Each photo still has to be tagged individually, but the amount of content you upload at once is up to you.
and these are the steps from the person page
To upload a memory from the person page:
- Click the Memories tab.
- Click either Upload Photo or Upload document, and select the file from your computer.
- Click Select from Gallery to add an item you have already uploaded. The drag and drop feature is not available to upload memory items on the person's details page.
dont upload an item to your OWN PROFILE unless it really does pertain to you (as a photo of yourself for example)
NOTE that in BOTH cases - you can upload MORE than one item at a time.
(but you might start out uploading like just 5 items at a time and then increase that if you see it geos well)

Thank you for your comments, I was going by the knowledge article that I put in my reply to Richard, which you have repeated in full. The knowledge Articles are there to guide us on how and what we can do in Familysearch.

There is a limit of how many items you can link to your own record. (1,000 as you note)
BUT There is NOT a hard precise limit of how many items you can upload to your gallery in general.
(they dont necessarily all have to be linked to YOUR profile - but you will have access to them in your gallery)

I get the impression you may have thought uploading to your own profile record was the way to go for all your uploads. (are there really 1000 items that pertain to YOU specifically?) You are probably better off uploading to the Gallery in general.
Let us know a bit the context of what you are doing and if you understood the responses given and if they were helpful.

Thanks for everyone who responded it has been helpful. I do have almost 1,000 items on my own Memories, mostly photos but also documents and histories. When I look at the Gallery I have over 3,000 items that I have posted. I have over 40 years of research documents and photos that I would like to upload to Memories. I am in my 60s and my wife is almost 60 so we probably have a few good years left and I would like to have more space in Memories to upload more photos. I have been researching my families since right after my mission when I was 22 years old. I still have many items to upload and would like to preserve as much as I can for my posterity. I am presently not able to tag myself in any new photos since I have reached the max.
For my own memories I am not sure if the Gallery is helpful or not. After I die who has access to the Gallery? How do I upload directly to the Gallery?
