Instructions for indexing Sierra Leone--Births & Death Registrations, 1858-2016
I believe there are a couple of errors in the instructions for this project.
First, in the example called "How to Index a Birth Register Example 2," I believe there is slight omission. There is no birth place indexed, but if you look at the "When and Where Born" column, the birth place is listed as York. Correcting this error would help us to see the difference between the Registration Place (Waterloo) and the Birth Place (York).
Second, in the "Project Instructions: What to Remember about This Project," it says that, if you are uncomfortable with a certain batch, you should return the PROJECT and download a different PROJECT. I believe it should say that we should return the BATCH and download a different BATCH. I don't think FamilySearch wants us giving up on projects just because we get a "bad" batch. :)
Thank you!

I just noticed your post in the Answer Questions section of the home page. You are spot on - the example is wrong and the sentence could use a little adjustment. I'm not sure if that sentence is "boiler plate", but, your suggestion makes perfect sense! The second example clearly shows that in column two, the birthplace is York.
I'm going to tag a moderator in hopes of passing this information along- @AndLinda Here is a share batch that shows what @jennyhess1 has mentioned. I will keep it until it expires on Feb 14th.
