Account Holder Private Notes for Each Record

Having done genealogical work for years with all of my detail notes on Ancestral Quest, I would like to consolidate all my efforts in one place, namely Family Tree. To this end I would like for my Family Tree Account to allow me to keep my private notes for each record in a secure place accessible only by me. This would save an immense amount of time by not having to synchronize and switch between two (or more) programs to research an individual. Everything in one place would be nice. Included in this would be the capability to copy and paste the notes from Ancestral Quest and retain the original formatting.

    @Edward Thomas Lisota

    Edward

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

Although, I understand, what you are getting at ...

    'FamilySearch' is "Public".

And, in general, apart from, the likes of:

    (1) Our "Private Spaces", for "Living", individuals/persons; and,

    (2) Our "Memories", for individuals/persons, that we "Designate"; as, "Private"

the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', is ALSO "Public".

In regard to "Private Notes" (Etc) ...

'FamilySearch', should NOT be used; as, Our OWN "Private" 'workspace'.

The likes of SOME 'On-Line' "Websites" (eg. "Ancestry_com"); and/or, 'standalone' personal (computer) programmes (eg, the OLD, now no longer supported, "PAF"; or, "Ancestral Quest"; or, the like), SHOULD be used; as, Our OWN "Private" 'workspace' - as, you are doing now.

    As an aside ...

Just imagine, the required SIZE of 'FamilySearch', if EVERY User/Patron, had such; and, utilised such ...

    Just my thoughts.

I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

    Brett

ps: Maybe in the future ... we can but live in hope ... certainly, not just now ...

    .
