Endowment House Marriages
I am trying to verify the marriage date of my great-great-grandfather. He was married in the Endowment House in 1866 or 1867. Is it true that these records are not available online? Would I have to go to FHL in SLC to verify the dates? It seems like this information should be more readily available. Thanks

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Can I suggest that you my like to avail yourself of the FREE "Look-Up" Service, provided by the Family History Library (FHL), in "Temple Square", in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
Here are a couple of Articles, with links to, that FREE "Look-Up" Service

Good Luck.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

Brett,
Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a try and the response that I received from the Lookup Service was the following:
"Unfortunately, the book/film you requested is copyright restricted by the publisher or author and we are not able to share any portion electronically."
It seems strange that these vital records would not be available. I used to live relatively close to SLC and could go there in person. I now live in Texas and don't know when I might be in SLC. Thanks again.

I am, so sorry.
Even, though, they were NOT able to provide, a "Copy" of the "Images", of the "Pages", for the relevant Years, due to "Copyright" ...
I would have expected, that they could (and, would) have, at least, been able to, confirm/provide, the "Details" of the Couple in 'Question" (eg. "Date" and "People", concerned), in writing; as, I would have thought, such would NOT, have been, a breach of "Copyright"; especially, as that SMALL amount of information, was NOT for "Commercial" Use.
Again, sorry ...
