/While reviewing batches I continuously find that after an initial people are typing a period. It very clearly shows in the examples not to do this. I have been removing the period, but am I wasting my time, does it really matter. These batches have over a hundred entries so it does take some time.

    It’s generally not necessary to index the period after initials, but not an error to do so. That is, it’s usually optional. You probably don’t see the back arrow when you do remove them, indicating that it is not considered an “error.” I would not change those.
