I'm unsure of how to index this image. There is a name listed and under is listed what appears to be the same surname and then "Do" as the given name. I haven't found anything in the project instructions.

Also, if there is a surname listed with 2 given names (Like Arthur and Mary), do I list them separately?

Thank you!!

Hi @MaryNeff , "Do" is an abbreviation for "Ditto" so you index the name Klehm, Henry only once. Index a separate entry for each given name such as Arthur Miller and Mary Miller. Have a great day 😎

We would only index unique names as maryellenstevensbarnes has said. The instruction is given here: Project Instructions, What to Remember about this Batch, bullet point 3 reads as follows:

Index each unique name. Some names may be duplicated. When names are exact duplicates, index only the first instance of the name listed. Skip the other exact duplicates and then index the next unique name. When the middle initials or the given names or surnames are spelled differently, please index these unique names.

Thank you, I had never seen the "Do" before so I didn't realize what it was. Much appreciated!
