Can I find my ancestor's naturalization papers?
I have found some of my ancestor's citizen and naturalization documents but not for some others. Why are some available and others not available? For instance, I have found Otto Helwig's but I can not find Adolph Helwig's. Adolph was born in Lipno Poland in 1887, immigrated in 1903 and naturalized in 1916. He stayed with his bro-in-law Daniel Harke in Philadelphia when he immigrated. By 1920 he was in Detroit, Mi. I also cannot find 1910 census to see if he was with Daniel at that time.
Can anyone find these documents on Family Search? Are there other places to locate them on line for free? Seems like everything points to paying Ancestry.com

Not all naturalization records are online. Some are on other sites - some pay sites, some free. Some people were just missed in some censuses - my mother was missed in one, and her sister was enumerated twice in one.
Can you supply the PID for your ancestor? It would be easier for someone to search for Otto and Adolph if we can see what records you have already attached to the profiles.

Adolph Helwig PID=G9F3-GPH
Otto's PID is G96X-6Q1 but I have his info.
If you need more info let me know.

As yet I have not received an answer. My question is this, if I could find nauturalization papers for Otto Helwig in Michigan why can I not find naturalization papers for Adolph Helwig in Michigan?
Does this tell me that although FamilySearch does have Michigan naturalization papers the collection may not be complete, meaning I have to look elsewhere? Or does it tell me that there are search techniques that I am not aware of? Adolph WAS naturalized in 1916.
Can someone please tell me if there are search secrets that I need to learn? How can I tell if certain record collections are complete or partial? Is there a special tutorial that will give me a boost?

Not everything is on FS. Of what is on FS, not everything is indexed. Of what is indexed, not everything is indexed correctly.
You can start with the collection search page for the combined Eastern and Western District records: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2546149
If you click the "how to use" button, you'll be taken to the Research Wiki page for the collection, which details the parts.

2 sets of my 2nd greats arrived in the USA in the 1850s and were naturalized. I've found their records by patient dogged page-by-page research. Their records are not searchable by name because they have not yet been indexed.
