Bonnie Levitan
I recently discovered, through DNA> that my father is not who I thought he was. This has upended my life as I am 81 years old. This is probably going to happen to more people......I never did DNA because I thought I would uncover any secret.....I just wanted to know my heritage. Now I would like to correct my tree on this site but I do not know how to do that. Thank You Bonnie Elizabeth Levitan

Hello @BonnieLevitan, what a shock for you to discover this now. I can understand you wanting to change information, and you can add another set of parents. You can indicate in your relationship to your father who you've known as adoptive rather than the biologically assumed relationship. Then add the newly acquired information. Below is an article detailing the steps you can take to add your biological line.

To LG Preston.......Thank you for your speedy reply.......I will be working on this today as I want the record to be correct. This is going to happening to more and more people as the DNA tests are getting so popular. If you do DNA I have learned, the hard way, to be prepared for a shocking surprise no matter what you think the facts are or what the birth certificate says. Bonnie
