Why do you delete peoples' family pictures taken at the beach on vacation?
Have a private account im starting for our family members. I got an email stating some photos were deleted due to "inappropriate" photos. Why?
Our family does go to the beach and go swimming. We wear bathing suits not evening gowns. When a family has theirs set to private, what does it matter anyway? Everyone ive ever met wears bathing suits in summer on the beach and sometimes it is in the Carribean This is rediculous. What do you approve, farmers in overalls and priests robes and collars? This is for our family history, is set to private so whats the problem?

Here is a help article that may assist you with the inappropriate photo issue.
First of all the photos are initially scanned by a software that probably can not distinguish the details of the bathing suit. And that is why you received the email.
As indicated in this help article:
Review the email and respond if you feel the memory item should not be restricted. Your reply is sent directly to an internal team for a manual review. You will be notified should the restriction be lifted.
Here is another article that may help as well:
In your situation I would just reply to the email that you received and provide your reasoning like "our family was at the beach". Then human eyes can look at those pictures instead of a software.
Hopefully this will help.

Thank you for posting in the Community about your restricted photos. When you upload a photo the program looks for certain things, and restricts those things. You receive a message about that photo. If you disagree with the restriction, you need to reply directly to the email, stating the reason you disagree, and a person will review the photo to see if it was restricted in error. Here is the Help Center article titled "Why does it say my photo is restricted". You may wish to review the rules and guidelines, as well as the related article link below.
FamilySearch uses software to review each memory item that is uploaded to ensure that it complies with our rules and guidelines.
Here is what happens when a memory item appears to violate our rules and guidelines:
- FamilySearch flags the item with a banner and the word "Restricted."
- You receive an email notification.
- The flagged memory item remains in your Memories gallery for 30 days after which it is removed,
