United States Census, 1900, family missing 2 people, has 3 copies of "Head" person
There is something very wrong with the indexing of the McCord family at dwelling #142 in the United States Census, 1900, New York, Westchester, URL:
It shows 3 index lines for "John T Mc Cord", all age 62, birth Apr 1838, and all 3 as "Head". There are not indexes for wife Margaret or son Louis P, they are replaced by the copies of "John T Mc Cord". All 3 John's are highlighted blue in the "Image Index". This situation prevents the source from being attached properly to John McCord G7GL-WR2 and family.
Thanks, Eric

There is a known problem with the index of the 1900 US Census, and it is in the hands of the developers to fix.

Thanks for the info. It does seem like a technical issue.
The correct family names (and only 1 "Head") are visible in the popup window when I pick "View: Record" (from the "Attach Historical Records" window) and appear at the bottom under Household, Role, Sex, Age, Birthplace. But 3 names are in bold instead of 1, indicating the active person, and cannot be selected like the others. And yet those correct names do not all appear in the "Attach Historical Records" window.
I will wait until this gets corrected.

There are a couple of threads with a process for attaching the 1900 until such time as the repairs are made.
