editing incorrect information in family tree

I've just added my father's name and am now in a family tree started by some cousins. I see some incorrect information and duplicates. May I edit? How do I go about that?

    There are many articles in the Help Center to help you correct information in Family Tree. If you will click on the circled question mark in the upper-right hand corner of the screen, choose Help Center and then click on Family Tree, you will find many useful articles and can search for many more.
