Have been a member for a long while. I know my user name and password. Seldom works.

I have a current email message concerning my grandmother Henrietta Ford Wise Harper's religion. Cannot get to it! I sign in and get another sign in message ~ over and over. Please help us ~ I see other comments about the same problem.

Ann Harper Bonner I sign in with springhillann2 & my password.

Do you recommend using my email address? Would rather not, though.

We would suggest that you go to FamilySearch Contact Us to North America and call the phone number during the hours that the Support Center is open. They have the ability to use remote assistance to view your desktop and trouble shoot the problem.

You have indicated that you consistently have problems with signing into your account at FamilySearch. Have you allowed your browser to save your username and password? If you have done that, when you reset your password, unless you update the password that automatically populates as a line of dots, you will have sign-in problems. Each time you reset your password, please manually type the password information after getting the message that the password was successfully reset. When you do this and click sign-in, your browser will ask you if you want to update and save your new login information and you can say "yes" if you wish to have the browser automatically sign you in after resetting the password.

Your most recent comment sounded like you were trying to access a marketing email that you received about one of your ancestors. You should probably not try to sign in through the email you received, but should go directly to the website to sign in and then go to the notifications bell at the upper right of the FamilySearch page once you are successfully signed into your account. The following knowledge article from our Help Center explains about getting notifications from FamilySearch which can be accessed through the notifications bell.

For your additional information, we did check your account and noticed you changed your password in November. If you need to reset your password again, please follow the instruction in the following knowledge article to do so using your email address which is your only recovery option.

Should you still be unable to sign into your FamilySearch account at the website, please do contact us by phone. Our North America toll-free number is 1-866-406-1830, and our agents can connect to your computer if needed to help you resolve your login concerns just as has been mentioned by other users.
