Online records
I'm not sure if this is right spot so please forgive me if it's not.
I've been researching my paternal family in Scotland. I've hit a brick wall with my 4x great grandparents Robert and Cathrine (Stephen) Mitchell. I have 1841 census records placing them in Tullynessle and Forbes Aberdeenshire, Scotland. I have differing dates of birth for Robert 1785 Keig and possible abt 1791 Aberdeen. I looking for his parent and possible siblings etc. I am have been unable to find a marriage record for Robert and Cathrine, a memorial record for Robert says he died May 15, 1850 at age 61 Bridge of Lead, Forbes. I've looked through several OPR and not found anything mentioning them. Other online records are not accessible for viewing due to copy write issues. I believe some of these records might hold information that could be helpful, is there a way to access them. I live in a rural area of Oklahoma not close to any large cities. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@EvaMitchell Many Scottish records are ONLY available on the paysite ScotlandsPeople. https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/
There are some records which have been filmed and indexed on FamilySearch, and the images are available if you visit a Family History Center or Affiliate Library. If you don't have one of those nearby, there is a free lookup service. You complete the form online, and a volunteer in Salt Lake City finds the image and emails it to you, usually in just a few days.
The blog post announcing the service: New Library Lookup Service at the Family History Library • FamilySearch
And a link to the form to be completed:
