Document how to navigate to Your familysearch.org To-do List
Here is my attempt to do this.
Where is your To-do List on familysearch.org?
A To-do List is unique to your account. Other Patrons/users cannot see it, let alone change it in any way. This is where personal action items should be stored. These action items should not use other database fields to remind you of actions you intend to take, for example as source citations listed under Sources in a person record.
Navigation to the To-do List is as follows: on every web page displayed by familysearch.org a FamilySearch logo, consisting of that word in FamilySearch-green preceded by the FamilySearch-tree-icon. Click on the logo. On the page displayed, the righthand column has pictures, with button links, at top and the bottom. Between the top and bottom are 3 collapsible lists. Collapse the first 2. You should see the To-do List. Adding items, reading items, and deleting items can safely be called intuitive. As usual this will not be so for some; they should contact FamilySearh support.

With the new website format, the TO DO list seems to have been moved or dropped. Any thoughts?

You are correct. If you are using the "Try new homepage features" - found on the main FamilySearch/login page (below the banner at top right) - you will need to toggle those features off to view the TO DO list on the 'old homepage'.
An alternative location to create 'plans'/to do list:
If you are no longer able to toggle that (I still see that toggle but perhaps for some users this is no longer available?) - AND you have a free non-Church of Jesus Christ account (a free not a member of the church account) - you could create your TO DO list in the Helpful Resources> Family History Dashboard> TRY IT> Plans area:
If you have a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ account the planner is found at the same link but the navigation is just a little different/hidden (you need to go to Helper Resources> then click on your name in the right-hand column to 'Go to my planner'.
