Which Family Search Centre would cover Parishes in Lacock Wiltshire England early 1800s?
I have found some baptisms dating from the 1820s in Lacock (sometimes Laycock) Wiltshire Parish registers for the Cains family children. I also found that George Cains b1781 and Hesther Salmon b1794 were married on the 3rd February 1817. Will there be a record and can anyone from that area help to find it? Thanks Philip Caine.(pacaine@hotmail.com

I'm happy to help, @PhilipCaine
For future reference - there is also a free service from FamilySearch which allows you to request copies which are then delivered by email. New Library Lookup Service at the Family History Library • FamilySearch

When a change is attributed to "FamilySearch" like that, it means that the data was imported from a previous system. In this case, that system is the IGI: it is an IGI-based "automatic" profile, that is, it matches an entry in that index letter-for-letter. Unfortunately, there's nobody that can be contacted about these types of profiles. All of the contributor information was lost at import.

If the records have been microfilmed, they have been digitized, and would/should be available at ALL Family History Centers.
Can you supply the URL/link to the records you found, please, @PhilipCaine?
Edit to add: the records are available at Family History Centers and Affiliate Libraries. My local library is an affiliate, and I can check on my next visit, if you can give details.

Thanks you for your reply to my query. The records I found have already been added to my tree by an anonymous member of Family Search and that is where I found them. I have tried in vain to contact this member by message. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQN5-X5L

I'm planning to visit my library one day this week. I'll be happy to look at those records and see what I can find.
I see the same extracted records on FindMyPast, but there are no images there. According to the FamilySearch catalog, there are images of the Bishop's Transcripts available when one is at an affiliate library or Family History Center.

Thanks again. In my 90th year I am more or less housebound and unable to visit any centres. Therefore I am entirely reliant upon the goodwill of those who do have access.
My main interest is in that marriage, as such a precise date implies that someone has found a source. Confirmation would verify Hester's maiden name and open up another branch of the family.

@MJ Enders It's been covered.

Sorry that I didn't make it to my Affiliate Library last week - the weather here was brutal.
But, I'm there this afternoon, and I'm finding your records. I have the marriage and 1 baptism so far. Let me know how you would like to have them. If you want to send me a private message with your email address, for privacy, that method would give you the best image quality.

Thanks once more for your interest. These messages are coming to my email
Not sure how to send private message.

@PhilipCaine - There is more than one way to send a private message here in the community, but I suggest this.
- Click on the avatar of the person you want to send a message to. A pop-up box will appear. Click view profile.
- Once you're on their profile page, click "Message".
- A new page will open and you can send your message from there.

I believe you have sent me an email but I can't find it.
This is a cut and paste of what I received:- Email sent @PhilipCaine
Clicking on the link doesn't take me to the message.
Thanks

That link is just a "tag" Philip, to alert you to a message for you. The email will be in your email box, not here on the website.

All these Family search messages come to my hotmail inbox, and after clicking onwards to the website.
Maybe this is why I can't find yours:- Mod Note: One comment was edited to remove personally-identifying information. @PhilipCaine

All the mod did was delete your email address from your post. I sent a direct email to your hotmail address - it won't be from FamilySearch, but from my name Aine.Ni.Donnghaile.

This is embarrassing and I'm sorry for the hassle but all I received at 14.12 today was the tag. I clicked on "Check it out" as usual and was taken to your message on the web page. Since then I have received several messages to my hotmail inbox from you and Piper, but nothing else - no other emails at all in my inbox this afternoon.

I've sent it to you twice - once with the Cains surname in the title and once with "This is the Email with the Lacock Records" as the title.

Hi Aine
I sent you an email but it seems to have gone astray.
I am wondering if the checks you made in Lacock also cover all local villages? I ask because in a later Census Hester states that she was born In Bradford Wiltshire and it's possible she could have been married there. I don't know if Bradford would have separate registers being in a different parish??
Maybe on future visit to your local library you could check and if so I would be much obliged.
Thank You
Phil
