It just doesn't make sense as The United Kingdom is a collection of 4 countries, being:
'The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'.
Great Britain (so named as being geographically the largest of the British Isles) = ENGLAND, SCOTLAND and WALES ... and NORTHERN IRELAND makes up the fourth part"
