How do I change the profile on my grandparents from "Deceased" to the date of death

My grandparents (LTQT-M74) and (LTQT-S8S) are listed as deceased. I would like to add the date of their deaths.

LTQT-M74 died on November 20, 1961 in Washington, LA

LTQT-S8S died on February 7, 1977 in Opelousas, LA

On both of their profiles, the "Death" option is grayed out.

Thanks, Margaret Elaine Guidroz (LRHN-HGF)

I am just glad that I was able to help/assist.

That is what this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, was originally established for, a number of Years ago.

    User/Patrons, HELPING / ASSISTING, Users/Patrons ...

And, has been operating quite successfully, for all that time.

[ Many of us just like helping/assisting others; where, we can ... ]

We were all NEW once ...

Best way to "Learn", is to "Explore" ... one step at a time ...

One cannot break the "System" ...

But, unfortunately, if one is not careful, one can make a "Mess", of one's Ancestors ...

    Enjoy.

    Good Luck

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    FYI

Simply select that link with the "Blue" 'Word' of "Edit", on the line of "Death", on the 'right-hand-side'

    Pictorially ...

    I hope, that this helps/assists.

Well, you may consider yourself a "lowly" user/patron; but I think you're great!! I thought I was heading in that direction: but I could never get there.

    Thanks so very much!!

Elaine (no one really calls me Margaret)
