Indexed document incomplete

I found an indexed naturalization document where one of the 4 sons were indexed; however, the father, whose document it was, was not indexed, nor the mother or other 3 sons. I have attached a copy in "Memories" but I would like to be able to actually attach the document to the father. Here is the link to the document - how can I fix this?

That is interesting. We don't index the children on these, so the volunteer was wrong. I did find the father's naturalization papers by searching on his name, so it was indexed.

Honestly, I do not understand how these happen. Sometimes I wonder how anyone finds the records they need. So many mysteries!

Thank you for taking the time to help me. The link is to the document itself, not the record so I cannot "attach" it, other than as a memory, which I have already done. I searched FamilySearch records under his name but couldn't find it. Do you find a link to the record that I could attach?

When you hover over the area next the man's name, just under the words Image Index, you will get an icon to click on which will take you to a record you can link to your FamilyTree.

    Here is that link: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLFT-KN4X

I searched on John Remiziewicz and that film was the first one that came up.

Interesting. Thank you so much for that detail - good information to know. I actually have him in the tree as Remisiewicz, but I would think Remiziewicz would come up as well - other variations did. In any case, mystery solved - I appreciate your time and wisdom.

You are most welcome. I find that sometimes the variations are so deeply buried that even Soundex can't find them. Looking at the documents, I would probably search his name a variety of ways - including Rem*wic?

Using the wildcards led me to this passenger list, which you may or may not have:

    https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9RB-S8PN?i=202&cc=1368704&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AJXL6-VP5

Showing Jan Remaiewicz sailed on the Caronia from LIverpool on the 13 Aug 1907 which matches his Certificate of Arrival on Image 634 of the film.

These names have been changed, indexed incorrectly, and just written so badly that there can be lots of variations.

    Have fun! Happy Searching!
