Should I add information from a source even if it seems incorrect?
One of my grandmothers cousins, has compiled a ton detailed history on our family. We received a copy many years ago from my grandmother, of the compiled work along with a family tree drawn up by someone in Luxembourg. I have been working on adding this information onto family search. While doing so I am seeing one or two dates that don't make sense (children being born within a few months of each other). I am wondering do I go ahead and create a new person and add them or should I not?

Thank you for your question about sources. It is hard to give specific information without seeing the specifics of what you are talking about. It is good to be aware that some dates in sources are estimated, Census records are a good example of estimated dates. Sources for the same person do not always agree.
Whether you create the person and add the source, would be something that you would have to decide.
In the case of the two children born close together, you might want to see if you can find other sources about these individuals, to be able to evaluate this source. A good place to start would be to go to link below and search for other records or find sources that prove the birth dates of these individuals.

You might want to check the sources of their parents, and siblings as well. On their Details page, click the Source tab, and Records.
We wish you success in evaluating the source, and finding more information about the children.

I am new to FamilySearch, but I don't think adding possibly incorrect information is a good idea.
