You would index the adopted parents.

    • For multiple parents, such as a set of birth parents and a set of adoptive parents, index only the current set of adoptive parents.

If the child has a name change, you index the names separated by the word "or", for example,

Given Name: Norma Jeane or Marilyn

Surname: Mortenson or Baker Or Monroe
