I am reviewing a long list of indexed marriage records
The original indexing skipped a record which makes all subsequent record entries wrong with respect to the entry number. How do I insert the missing record ??? Surely there is a way to do this without correcting the next 40 entries. Or do I just ignore the missing entry???
There must be some manner to enter another record. What do I do ?

you can insert an entry at any point using the (+ entry ) icon on the tool bar at the top of the page. Just make sure you chose how many entries you want and where you would like it placed. in this case it sounds like you just need 1.
Hope that helps.

Go to the last entry that is correct, then click the "add entry" button on the tool bar, it is the icon just to left of the trash can on the tool bar, it looks a box with a Plus sign. When the window opens, Select the second option: "After current entry", it will add an entry and you will be able to index the missing record.

I agree with @LarryClark43 and @Tom123 . That is the correct path to take.
