Family Search memories
I have a question about memories added to a living person. I have been building the information on my own profile adding stories and information from my past. In addition I have been adding stories and memories of my children during their life time. Here is my question about that. I understand that my children will never see those things I have written about myself until after my death. What about those things I have written about them. To make my tree complete I have added each of my living children. What happens to the things I have added to that child's profile when I die. Will those profile's and memories transfer to them when my profile is merged into the one they have created?

We would recommend that you go to Help (circle with ?) and enter "deceased user memories" and then review the Knowledge Article "What happens to memories submitted by a deceased user?" Also search for "incapacitated" for additional Knowledge articles concerning this situation.
Basically the account of the deceased user is locked and all of the memories are still there. IF they have been tagged, others MAY see see them if they have been tagged to deceased records. Howerer, if the user has added private (attached to living persons) memories those memories are not made public. The system is set to keep private any memories designated by a contributor as private.
When your record is made public by entering death information then that attached to your record which was private now becomes public and may include information about living individuals. The information that you have created about your living children on the records will be locked to protect privacy and therefore inaccessible. Even they will not have access.

It is possible to copy & share a URL which shows all memories tagged to your own ID (or any other ID)
This works for any FamilySearch ID with attached memories, living or deceased.
Browser Version of Family Tree only
On your details page memories Tab, click on a memory to open the Image viewer
In the listing for People (tagged) find your name & click the arrow on the right to show options for that tag
the “tag name” will be shown in quotes
Directly underneath the tag name click
‘Show All Memories Tagged with This Name’
The page that opens allows you to save to Pinterest, Tweet, Like, or email the URL
Or simply copy the URL & save in a document or share as desired
Because the URL does not change as memories are added to that tag name, you only need share it one time.
The URL can be viewed by anyone—even those without a FamilySearch account. Private memories will only show to you, but anyone can see public memories.
Each memory on the page is clickable, & opens the image viewer for that item.
Visibility of actual tags & tag names varies by whether the individual ID is living or deceased, and whether the viewer is signed into FamilySearch or not.
Note that details & descriptions may be visible
Your vital stats & relationships are not accessible using this method, unless it’s included in a visible area
if you uploaded your own social security card or birth certificate or journal to memories & tagged them to yourself anyone would be able to access them—no need to wait until you die with this simple URL tip.
This is an alternative to adding pictures to albums, which also makes memories visible to those who can find any memory contained in the album
Experiment with it yourself to see how it works. Follow the steps, then sign out of FamilySearch & paste the url into a browser window.
This method does need to be implemented while you are living & account still open.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Short Answer:
As your Children are STILL "Living", the "Version" of them, in Your 'FamilySearch' Account', in your "Private Spaces", will NOT be made "Public"; and, neither will those associated "Memories", when you die - they will NOT 'see' what you have uploaded, for the "Version" of them, in Your 'FamilySearch' Account', in your "Private Spaces", in "Memories".
Here are some "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch':
Can I add memories about my living relatives to Family Tree?
Who can view the items uploaded in Memories for living people?
https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/who-can-view-the-items-uploaded-to-memories
What happens to memories submitted by a deceased user?
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

This maybe this ...
How do I share memories I find with family and friends?
And, maybe ...
[ An "Oldie"; but, STILL a "Goodie" ... ]
Especially, if one is unfamiliar ...
Certainly not NEW any more ...
'FamilySearch' "Blog" ...
New Memories Gallery! Upload and Organize Photos in Family Tree Albums
I hope, that this may also help/assist, somewhat.
