Search filters and remembering number of results

While I agree with others that the new search system is clunky and yields often questionable results, I do really like the ease of the 'filter x event by decade' feature. Could we get filters for individual years after clicking on the decade? As the year-range search features are never strictly applied in search results, this would be great.

Also, could you PLEASE add a cookie or site preference that remembers the number of search results we last used? Clicking 20 --> 100 every single time is infuriating, and this would greatly reduce the number of times search results get pulled.

More of a wishlist item: Increase the upper number of results to export to 1,000 (or preferably 10,000). I realize this may not be realistic, as it would make records incrimentally easier to extract and duplicate elsewhere, but it would save a lot of time and, again, reduce the number of times search results get pulled.
