How to remove a Recurring Person in a tree listed as their own child?

The person IDs are exactly the same (9CS1-RGL). This person is listed as their own child. How do we un-assign them as their own parent or child? It shows up in the list of children but there is no edit button.

This happened as the result of merging two identical persons. One had 3 children, the other had the complete set of 11 children. Now they show up as their own child with the same 3 children as grandchildren.

Note: I tried to add the tag "recurring person" to this question but it doesn't come up as an option. This is a pretty frustrating situation and there is no document that addresses it in the Help section.

I don't see that problem with 9CS1-RGL, Susanna Railey Young, but I do see it with her husband, Thomas Kilby Layton, 9CS1-RGT.

It also appears that 2 of their children, Hugh Pleasants Layton and Ambrose Young Layton, are attached to Susannah twice. You can repair that section of the tree by detaching Thomas from Susanna in her role of mother. You'll need to do the same with the double attachments of the 2 sons.

That corrected it! I learned how to navigate the relationship tools better today.

    Thank you so much.
