High @Brenton Graham Rogers Thanks for your question. Brenton you go into your page details and add spouse down by the spouse in the box next to your name. There is a knowledge article in the help centre. go into the question mark and come down to help center. in the bar put add spouse and the instructions will come up. i am very sorry I am having trouble copying it in for you. hope you find it ok. Good luck.

Just an added comment about being alive. You can not search for and find the ID of a live person. If they give it to you and you try to enter it, it will not work. Live people, by default, will have duplicate accounts depending on how many family members are working in FamilySearch. In the case of your wife, she has an account, has a unique ID number that she sees. You will never see that number. You have to create a new record for her and you will get a different ID number assigned to it that she will never see. If other family members have a need to add her, they will have to create new records as well, since they can not see your wife's record in your account or hers. I suspect I am duplicated at least 3 times, my own account and probably in 2 other accounts of family I work with. Since I was orienting another family member in how FamilySearch works last week, I expect there will soon be a 4th duplicate of me.
I mentioned in a discussion once that this is not a very good business model since the more people who use FamilySearch, the more duplicates are being created. This will become a big mess to clean up in the years to come. But there it is.

I saw your problem in the same way as Gail. Please confirm that you are / were trying to attach your wife with the ID for her in her account. If so, create another ID for her and attach to yours, as suggested above.

Brenton,
There are some excellent answers in this forum for you to answer your question.
This is information comes from a Knowledge Article steps that are easy to follow.
Cannot see my spouse or in-laws in Family Tree.
You may not be able to see your spouse's family and ancestors in Family Tree for several reasons.
Your spouse's parents are livingIf your spouse's parents are living, and if their records are already in Family Tree, the records are not visible to you because of privacy restrictions.
If you want to see them in your tree, add them to your tree. Their records will be in your private space and visible only to you there.
Your spouse's parents are deceased, but their records in Family Tree show as living.
If your spouse's parents are deceased, and if their records are already in Family Tree, you probably cannot see them because the records still show them as living.
If the records do not show, your spouse may need to go into Family Tree and mark his or her tree parents' records as deceased. If the records do not show up in your family tree, you can link them as existing people into your pedigree. All of the deceased ancestors connected to them should also appear.
It is also a good idea to see if Family Tree has duplicates of your spouse's parents. If you find any, merge them.
Your spouse's parents are not in Family Tree.Family Tree may not have entries for your spouse's parents. Consider entering their information and creating their person pages.Using the consultant planner
