Children are showing up twice, but they aren't duplicates

Sometimes in Family Tree there is background information that is not always visible that makes it much better to always merge duplicate parent-child relationships rather than to delete them. Because you cannot always tell what problems deleting correct relationships will cause, I always advise merging relationships rather than deleting them. To do that, use the follow procedure.
In your example:
- Click on Add Spouse in the second couple box for Olof.
- Add a temporary spouse. Call her "K" and mark her as deceased.
- Merge K into Karin Jansdr.
This is actually faster than going through and removing three children, it correctly combines parent-child relationships, and potentially prevents additional problems in the underlying data.

Hello Catherine Lamb
Thank you for contacting us. In this case, scroll down to the husband with no spouse. Click on the pencil beside each child and remove the child. That will leave the children with the correct parents.
