Make the Information Displayed when "Recents" is clicked more useful
When the “Recents” menu is clicked 2 windows pop up about 80% of the time. The first is the expected Recents window listing the most recently viewed people with their name and pedigree as active links. The second window is the problem. It is the Saved Data window. It contains a list of 6 id’s as active links. It pops up covering the 4 most recents, the ones that are sought most often. These are about the only ones I want to see.
In order to see the 4 most recents the Saved Data window must be closed. That is why it is loathed.
My idea is to display the Saved Data window first. Then it will be mostly obscured by the expected information in the Recents Window. Mostly means the Saved Data window can be activated with a convenient single click.

I've never seen this Saved Data window. Can you post a screen shot of what you see? It sounds like some kind of display flaw has crept in.

I have also, been just taking a 'look', trying to figure out, what 'Douglas' was talking about ...
As, I had NEVER 'seen' this "... second window is the problem. It is the Saved Data window. It contains a list of 6 id’s as active links. It pops up covering the 4 most recents, the ones that are sought most often ..."
I think that I may have 'twigged' ...
Just out aloud ...
'Douglas' may be referring, to the the First SIX (x6) individuals/persons, listed on the "Recents" List.
And, maybe 'Douglas' DOES NOT relaise, that the "Recents" List, actually has (ie. Contains) up to Fifty (x50), of the LAST individuals/persons, that one has 'accessed' recently ...
Maybe, he has NOT used the "Slider", on the 'right-hand-side', of that "Recents" List, to go down; and, 'look' beyond that initial SIX (x6) ...
As such ...
Just in case ...
For the information of others ...
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in, 'FamilySearch':
How do I find the records I last viewed in Family Tree?
[ ie. "Recents" List ... ]

ps: Of course, I could be wrong ...

Because you cannot observe the FamilySearch software behavior I documented does not mean I have documented something that does not happen (regularly), nor does it imply I am confused (which is often used as a synonym for senile or dim witted).
Bugs which happen for some and not others are a well-known category of software defects. They are more difficult to remedy than bugs that happen for everyone. Both of these types are reproduceable, and therefore fairly easy to remedy.
Intermittent behavior is usually not repeatable. May purveyors of software deny responsibly for fixing non repeatable defects. They should have to clearly state this, much like the surgeon general warning on cigarette packages. The most interesting bug fix I have seen is aluminum foil. The cause was a rotating radar signal generator that caused a problem occasionally.
The most difficult bugs to fix don't exhibit undesirable effects often enough to be considered intermittent. They may not even by caused by a software defect, like the radar above. A friend of mine was a very accomplished bug (finder and) fixer said bug finders were only allowed to attribute a bug to sunspots once a decade.
At some point bugs become the equivalent of a cold case. Someone looks at them occasionally, and new members of the support group are told to look out for them. This only used in organizations that do not really have budget limitations. These include national security, intelligence community, and probably a few major tech corporations. Cold case bugs do get fixed occasionally, but it is very rare.
The problem I have is intermittent and repeatably. It happens often enough to easily show it to a bug finder. This would probably use a desktop remote app like Quick Assist.

Perhaps you should contact FamilySearch Support via phone. If you wish to have them view obscure 'bugs' which others cannot reproduce ( I haven't been able to follow a couple of your posts - somewhat vague/unclear). FamilySearch Support has 'remote connect software' - they can observe your issue(s) (which others cannot locate/reproduce):
Note: reference at bottom of this Contact page for the 'remote connect software'.
This does bring up the need here in Community for a 'standard' method of reporting issues (especially bugs - which has been addressed a couple of times - but which I have not seen much action). Currently if you want to report anything - here in Community is the way to do it. If you want people to try to duplicate your 'bug' please give detailed steps. Vagueness - especially for 'bug' duplication is confusing here in Community.
My best guess as to your referenced 'bug' - your internet connection type plus browser/OS version are probably in play. I have seen image captures from others reporting issues. Perhaps that would be best as well - include an image (it's worth 1000 words).

Just in passing ...
As, I suggested in my previous 'Comment' : Of course, I could be wrong ...
And, as, has already been proffered by 'genthusiast' ... include an image (it's worth 1000 words)
Currently; where, I have been, using Three (x3) different "Browsers", I cannot recall, 'seeing' ANYTHING, like you describe.
And ...
That Said ...
I for one, certainly DO NOT deny, that what you describe, might be appearing in the SAME (or, even, OTHER) "Bowsers", with DIFFERENT "Operating Systems".
Plus ...
NO one, is suggesting, that "... the FamilySearch software behavior I documented does not mean I have documented something that does not happen (regularly), nor does it imply I am confused (which is often used as a synonym for senile or dim witted) ... - far from it.
In your post, you appear to suggest, that what you describe, is happening (to you) about "... 80% of the time ...".
Which, is supported, by your latter inclusion, that "... The problem I have is intermittent and repeatably ..."
Unfortunately, in your post, you DID NOT supply either:
(1) the details of the "Browser(s)"; and/or, "Operating Systems", that you use when this occurs; and/or,
(2) provide a "Screenshot" (or, series, of "Screenshots"), depicting what you describe.
Such, would have certainly, been helpful; and, support your case.
Plus ...
Such, may certainly have "Changed", the content, of what was written, in our previous 'Comments'.
Now ...
That Said ...
Just for clarification ...
My response to your post, was based upon using the following, "Browser(s)"; &/or, "Operating System":
(1) 'Google' "Chrome"; and,
(2) 'Mozilla" "FireFox"; and,
(3) 'Microsoft' "Edge",
ALL, with the "Operating System" of 'Microsoft' "Windows 10"; and,
all using the LATEST "Versions" of EACH.
Please do not feel belittled or offended with my initial 'Comment'.
My 'Comment' was only provided; because:
(1) I had NEVER 'seen' (ie. experienced) what you describe; and,
(2) Without "Screenshots", I was only thinking about, what you appeared, to be describing.
Just my thoughts.

I suspect that the "Saved Data" window is a browser function. It is definitely not a FamilySearch function.

It is an Edge problem. Browser (a non-partisan verb used instead of Google) Edge Saved Data Window. Shame on us all.
Interestingly all screenshot functions closed the offending window before shooting. I would have noticed this if I had thought of a picture or checked often enough to see the suggestion. I tried it with Chrome and did not have the problem. The interesting solution on the internet was switch to a better browser. For me that leaves out Chrome. The article I read suggested Opera. It also said Microsoft knows about it and will fix it.
I must now decide how to proceed. In trying to take a screenshot I discovered that almost any key or click in the Recents window closes the offending window. This is important for me since my hands shake and it is much easier than navigating the mouse and clicking on a small target. I will hope Microsoft fixes it soon. If not, I may try Opera.
Thank you all. It has been one of the best Community experiences for me.

Just in passing ...
As an aside ...
I do not know, if this will help/assist ...
But ...
That Said ...
I often find, that the OLD "Prt Sc" (ie. "Print Screen") function, works for capturing those "Pop-Up" Windows appearing on the screen, saving the whole screen (with the "Pop-Up" Window) to the "Clipboard"; so that, I can "Paste" such, in the likes of either, this Forum; or, "MSPaint" (etc), if I want to work on it.
[ As opposed to, a "Screen Capture" Application/Extension ... ]
Just my thoughts.

Nope. I tried 10 different ways to get a screen shot. About 4 used prt sc. None worked.

Well then, really "Browser" related.
Such is life ...

ps: I have seen, in posts; where, Users/Patrons have taken, an actual "Photograph", of their "Computer" Screen/Monitor, with (I presume) their "Mobile" Phone/Tablet (or, maybe "Digital" Camera); and, subsequently, "Uploaded", those "Photographs"; as, "Images", in their post, here in this Forum - just a last passing thought ...

I could not duplicate in Edge - the Recents menu functions fine - but I am not signing in with profile/synched data. Edge 96.0.1054.57, Windows 10 20H2, DSL.
Hmm, Apparently the Saved Data is popping up because you have some autofill feature of Edge enabled? It is recalling the PIDs you have searched in the past in Recents menu - sounds normal if you have it enabled. I guess you would have to disable that to not see it?
