It was very hard to find in your internet page where I could even find how to make this comment and I still do not know how I will find out if you answer me. There was no place that said to leave an email address so I will do it here:

You can "suggest a new place' if it is not currently correct:
It currently looks like FamilySearch has Valparaiso in Benton County - although the entry shows Porter. So you may need to submit a correction. If you already did so they will know your email because you have to be signed into FamilySearch to make such a submission.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
Question: What am I missing?
Further to what has already been proffered ...
Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana, United States [ of America ], IS already, a 'Place' Name, that is "Standardized"; as, a "City", in 'FamilySearch' (and, as, included, in the "Place Names" Database, in 'FamilySearch').
Pictorially
Place ...
"Place Names" Database ...
https://www.familysearch.org/research/places/?focusedId=11823122
Whereas ...
Sometimes, the 'Place Names' do not always appear, straight away, just with one "Part" of a 'Place' Name, often you need to add the next "Part" of a 'Place' Name ... I just tried, by starting, with entering/typing "Valparaiso"; then, continuing with ", Porter,"; and, there was that "Standard", for "Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana, United States [ of America ]".
Just my thoughts.

Looks like there are at least half a dozen Center Townships in Indiana and Valparaiso just got connected to the wrong one. That's a pretty easy fix. It probably won't take long for it to be fixed.
Not sure you will ever get any kind of notification. You may just have to check back once in a while.
