Not a question, but only mods / employees can make "Announcements".

I found this Blog article at https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/courtney-connolly-family-tree-product-manager.

Worth a read. I found it especially interesting to note that, previously, BYU did not have any family history / genealogy programs for students to sign up to. In my experience, I only ever met one (young) missionary who had undertaken a diploma in genealogy. I find it very surprising there is not more encouragement for LDS members to do so, although experience can be as useful as a formal qualification, I guess.

I wonder what Courtney Connolly's position or experience is with the change to the search function?
