Comment about new search engine and how awful it is for exact searches
First I wanted to comment saying it was extremely hard to figure out how to post a comment. I liked the old case system much better. I hope someone at FamilySearch actually reviews this comment and it isn't just a board post.
Second, the new search engine does not do a very good job. It is extremely difficult to do an exact search, especially using location filters. I'm not sure why the change was made, but it was not a good decision. Who ever is in charge of the search engine updates, could you please adjust it so the exact filter will work again. Sometimes you know exactly when or where something occurred (like in a census record or vital record) because you've seen it elsewhere like on Ancestry or a published index from the local genealogical society and you want to attach the original to the person in the Tree, but the record doesn't come up as a hint. In the past, I would go to the database directly to find it and then attach it and was usually able to find it. With the new search engine update, it takes so longer to find anything, if I can find it at all. I really dislike this new search engine, please fix it.
